Course Information
This level 3 Access to HE Diploma is designed to prepare learners without traditional qualifications for entry into Higher Education (HE).
The Diploma provides an opportunity for learners to acquire and develop knowledge and skills needed to progress to higher education study and enables learners to develop social and emotional skills such as communication and confidence.

The aim of this qualification is to prepare students for progression into higher education subjects including, but not limited to:

Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements. However, applicants must possess the necessary skills and personal qualities to cope with the demands of the course, including being able to operate at least to Level Two in English and Level Two in Mathematics before being accepted onto a course leading to the Diploma.
All applicants will be required at attend an online interview with a course advisor prior to registration.
What will I learn?
You will study 45 graded credits.
You will 30 credits from the Education Group of Units, including

Early years (3 credits)

Play as a learning tool (3 credits)

Early Years Foundation Stage: Curriculum and Progress Checks (3 credits)
You will 15 credits from the courses in the Education, Health studies, Psychology or Sociology.
You will also study 15 credits from the Study Skills courses.
How will I learn?
You'll take part in interactive live lessons online, facilitated by one of our expert trainers. Each 3-hour session is fast-paced, camera-on, and discussion-heavy: expect breakout debates, real-time polls, and mini challenges that put theory to the test.
Between classes, you'll extend your learning through short, targeted research tasks and reflective activities.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment for this course is practical, reflective and designed to support your professional development. You’ll complete structured course workbooks that capture your learning for each unit, your reflections on key topics and your independent research. These are submitted throughout the course.
Assessments are designed to prepare you for study at a higher level. Methods include: essay writing, reports, presentations, practical demonstrations, discussions, reflection, research projects, field work.
Together, these elements ensure you’re not only absorbing the theory but actively applying it in a supportive, professional environment.
What will I achieve?
On successful completion of this course, you will achieve Access to HE Diploma (Early Years Education).
How long will it take?
This course is delivered full-time or part-time.
If you choose the full-time option, you should complete the course within one academic year.
If you choose part-time, you should aim to complete the course within two academic years.
You will have the opportunity to discuss your time-table with your personal tutor.
What will it cost?
This course fee is £1500.00
This includes registration with the Awarding Organisation and certification. There are no additional fees.
Is there anything else I should know?
This course is delivered online, so you will need access to a computer with internet.

What can I do afterwards?
Learners who complete and achieve the Access to HE Diploma could progress onto Higher Education courses including bachelor’s Degrees, Foundation Degrees, Higher National Certificates and Diplomas (HNC/HND) and Higher Degree Apprenticeships.
The Access to HE Diploma could also support entry into employment areas where evidence of study and achievement at level 3 is required.
